Welcome


The Montana Dance Arts Association's goals are:

   1. To increase skills of professional dancers, students, and teachers.

   2. To maintain high artistic standards and increase communication among dancers.

   3. To advance training and expression in the dance art form, and to keep dancers creatively alive despite Montana's isolation.

These goals are achieved through semi-annual workshops, the scholarship adjudication program, and professional development assistance programs.

About MDAA:
Since its founding in 1969, Montana Dance Arts Association (MDAA) members have contributed thousands of hours and abundant expertise in developing and promoting the art of dance in Montana.  MDAA is a private non-profit 501(c)(3) statewide organization comprised of over 350 teachers and students, with a 6-member volunteer Board of Directors.  MDAA conducts semi-annual dance workshops, student scholarship adjudication, and promotes professional development.  Also, MDAA either co-sponsors or encourages performances of major dance companies statewide.
